I take demolition from a slab or deck up to full houses and commercial structures. Torn down, hauled off, and left as a clean, graded site that's ready for what's next.
What it actually involves
Decks, sheds, concrete flatwork, and old retaining walls, up through full houses and commercial teardowns. Torn out, separated, hauled, and the ground graded instead of cratered.
What it costs, and what drives it
Small tear-outs land in the $500–$3,500 range; houses and commercial structures are quoted per job after a walk-through. What moves the number:
- Disposal: concrete and clean fill dump cheap; mixed debris doesn’t
- Thickness and steel: 4" flatwork breaks fast; 6" with rebar fights back
- Access: machine access vs. carrying pieces through a gate
- What’s next: demo plus the new pad in one mobilization saves money
If something under the slab surprises us, we talk before anything else moves.
Tearing out in older neighborhoods
Logan’s older blocks hide history under their concrete: cisterns, coal chutes, clay laterals, slabs twice as thick as they need to be. Demo here gets quoted after a walk-through, not off a photo.
Utilities get located even for teardowns. A shed slab with a live line under it is a bad afternoon.
